Homework
:
Due Fri 2/10: All "What is Love Classwork" if not finished in class on Thu.
Due Fri 2/10: All American Dream Work stapled in order
Due Fri 2/10: 5 pages of notes per academic class, including Spanish, German, or Chinese
Homework Due Today:
none.
Agenda:
Update planners with Agenda and HW
Announcements:
Students should stand for the Pledge of Allegiance, then listen
QUIETLY
to the announcements while they update their planners
.
Conduct Cards:
Teacher will hand out index cards.
Put the date and the full heading on your card.
Teacher will stamp cards as students work if they stay on task and are respectful.
Teacher may cross off a stamp if student strays off task ; )
Each stamp will be worth 5 points extra credit.
Hand in your card at the end of the period.
Warm up: What is Love? Vocabulary Matching
Copy the following words and definitions on binder paper, then write the letter of the correct definition to match each word.

Review answers as whole class.

Teacher will hand out "What is Love?" Article.
Complete the Real-Life Connection word web.
Review vocabulary words- read aloud and verify understanding.
Read aloud "What is Love?" as a whole class, stopping to discuss as necessary. Teacher may read and/or take volunteers to read aloud.
Complete "Wrap it up" #1-6 and Connect to the Big Question. Be sure to answer in complete sentences.

Read over the directions
Students may work individually or with one partner.
